Coorg cuisine

Coorg cuisine, or Kodava cuisine, is a vibrant and flavorful aspect of Karnataka culinary scene. Known for its distinctive use of pork, it’s often cooked with a special masala and hint of sourness from kacham puli, a unique bitter lime. Rice plays a central role in this cuisine, with beloved dishes like Kadambuttu (rice dumplings) and Noolputtu (rice noodles). The inclusion of bamboo shoots, local fruits, and aromatic spices showcases the region's rich biodiversity and culinary heritage.
